Covid 19 Vaccine

Home Practice News Covid 19 Vaccine

Yarraville Village Family Medical Centre is pleased to advise that we are an approved vaccination provider for the COVID-19 vaccines. We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisation for our local area and the wider community. We are running our COVID-19 vaccine clinics on Saturdays, commencing 10 April 2021. Please note based on the updated advice from the Department of Health 8/4/21, people under the age of 50 should have the Pfizer vaccine. General Practices have been supplied with the AstraZeneca vaccine. For patients under the age of 50 wanting the AstraZeneca vaccine, they need to have a consultation with their Doctor to assess the benefit and risks.

To find out when you are eligible to receive the vaccine, visit and complete the COVID-19 Vaccines Eligibility Checker via the HealthDirect Government website (click on link below). This will tell you which phase of the rollout you are in. Once completed you need to go back into our website to complete the online booking through Appointuit.

When it is your turn to get vaccinated, you can book on our website online or call us on 93147675. When booking online please select Practitioner of my choice and then select COVID Vaccination – Initial. You will need to answer all the questions before you can make the appointment. The COVID-19 Vaccine clinic on Saturdays will only be available once we have received the vaccines.

Please do not come to your vaccination appointment:
• if you are feeling unwell with fever, cough, runny nose or other symptoms that
could be from COVID-19
• if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or have tested positive for COVID-19
• if you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, or
• if you are in quarantine.

If you have had another vaccine in the 14 days before your COVID-19 vaccine
appointment, please let us know as we may need to reschedule your appointment.
If you cannot make it to your vaccination appointment, please contact us to arrange a
new appointment.
