Stop the Sick Tax

Home Archive by category "Practice News"

The Victorian Government is imposing a new tax (Sick Tax) on General Practice Clinics. The tax is not being paid by the individual GP but rather the Clinic is paying for the tax. In addition, the Victorian Government is applying this new tax retrospectively for 5 years to the Clinic, which other State Governments are not doing. This will see many Clinics closing down as they do not have the money to pay 5 years of retrospective tax in 21 days, let alone the ongoing yearly Sick Tax. Please contact the Victorian Government to stop the new tax so your local General Practice Clinic can continue to support the community.
